Two engines and gearbox VR-8A make up the power plant of the Mi-8 helicopter. The long service life of the Mi-8 helicopter in more than 30 countries confirms the high degree of reliability of power plant and equipment.

Serial production of TV2-117AG engines was launched in 1985 at the Perm motor factory. More than 24,000 engines have been produced, more than 13,000 engines continue to operate.
