Airplane G-25
Vendor code: 129666 29 October 350 14
G-25 training aircraft
The aircraft was built at the Osoaviakhim glider plant in Moscow at the end of 1937. Due to a delay in the delivery of the expected GAZ-11 engine with a power of 85 hp. a British Pobjoy “Niagara” radial engine of equal power was installed on it. The Pobjoy "Niagara" was a popular engine for light and experimental aircraft. With this engine, which, however, weighed 70 kg less than a car engine, the G-25 had excellent performance. With one pilot, the takeoff run was only 40 m, the landing run was 60 m. All the pilots who piloted the G-25 highly appreciated its flight characteristics.
Developer: Gribovsky. Country: USSR. First flight: 1938
