It is a braced high-wing aircraft of a normal design with a tail unit and a three-legged non-retractable landing gear with a steerable nose wheel, designed for cross-country and tourist flights.
Engine
The aircraft is equipped with one four-stroke opposed piston engine OKB-120i with a power of 73.5 kW (100 hp), with a three-blade fixed-pitch tractor propeller. The engine is located in the forward part of the fuselage and is covered with a fiberglass hood.
Wing
The airframe of the aircraft is made of D16T alloy. The riveted structure with working skin provides the specified strength and rigidity with a low weight of the aircraft. The aircraft wing is made according to a single-spar design, equipped with a flap and ailerons.
Fuselage
The fuselage is a semi-monocommetallic, riveted structure with a rectangular section of the tail section and has sufficient strength and rigidity combined with high manufacturability of the design.

Cabin
The crew cabin with two rows of seats is enclosed by a spacious canopy made of polyester glass, providing good visibility. The cabin heating and ventilation system creates comfortable working conditions for the crew.
Airplane tail
Consists of a strut stabilizer with an elevator and a fin with a rudder. The main landing gear is a solid B95 spring with brake wheels attached to it. The front strut is controlled, equipped with an oil-spring shock absorber and a non-braking wheel. All wheels are made for one low-pressure tire with dimensions 425x185 (p=1.2 kg/cm2).
Control system
The aircraft has a control system for control surfaces with control wiring, consisting of cables, rigid rods and rockers, and is equipped with a set of flight navigation equipment that allows it to fly during the day according to visual flight rules from concrete, asphalt and dirt runways.
The SP-30M double aircraft belongs to the category of light aircraft. Designed on the basis of JAR-VLA airworthiness standards, complies with the “General Technical Requirements for Single Models of General Aviation Aircraft”.
