The AN-2 plane was developed by Antonov’s design bureau in the late 1940s and was commissioned in 1948. The initially planned as an agricultural aircraft, the An-2 quickly became multi-purpose and was produced in 16 different civilian and military modifications. For many years, the An-2P passenger aircraft flew on the local air lines of the USSR for many years.
