PS: The RB211 engines were first installed on Boeing's 757 aircraft in 1984 and have proven themselves worldwide as reliable turbofan engines. After certification in July 1997, these engines became part of the power plant of the Russian Tu-204 airliner. The RB211-535E4 were also selected by Boeing for the B-52 powertrain upgrade program. Relatively low price, long service life, low noise level and reliability - these are the main factors that influenced the fact that the RB211 engines were installed on the 757-300 aircraft as base ones. This aircraft set a new world record, having flown 40,531 hours without replacing the RB211 engines (the engines were installed in 1991).
