Engine M701S-500 (also known as M-701)
Manufacturer: Czechoslovakia (Motorlet Praha)
This is a modification of the Czechoslovak single-shaft turbojet engine. With index S-500 the name indicates the engine's life between overhauls, which is 500 hours (the basic versions had a life of 150, 250 or 400 hours).
Sold for use on land. Several available. The price is for 1 engine.
The engine is degassed on the stand. All engine performance indicators are normal. The engine is in excellent technical condition. You can check its operation on the stand.
The M701C-500 aviation gas turbine engine, originally developed for training aircraft, is actively used on the ground in various industrial and transport applications.
Main purpose on earth:
- Cleaning of railway cars and tracks. The engine is used as part of stationary and mobile rocket launchers, which are mounted in sealed boxes (often based on sea containers) or on railway platforms. The flow of hot and powerful air coming out of the engine nozzle makes it possible to effectively clean freight cars from the remains of bulk materials, ice and snow without stopping the train. This is especially true for mining operations, where ore sticking reduces transportation productivity. Such installations are controlled remotely from the operator’s cabin. In such systems, two M701C-500 engines can be used at once to increase the blowing power.
- Oil and gas industry. Engines of this type are installed on ground-based equipment (for example, in TG-2, AIST-1 installations) to clean pipelines from slag, paraffin-salt deposits and other contaminants, which is critical for maintaining the throughput of pipelines.
- Agriculture. They are used in installations such as TDU-750 and AIST-2 for the disinfection of agricultural premises. In this case, a complex effect of high temperature and chemical reagents is used to destroy pests and pathogens.
Design features for ground use: M701C-500 engines are modified for operation on land: equipped with electric start, remote control and installed in special protective boxes with exhaust gas removal systems. The complex also includes fuel tanks, pumps, filters and control panels.
In general, the ground application of the M701C-500 is based on its use as a powerful source of hot air and kinetic energy to mechanize the labor-intensive processes of cleaning and maintaining infrastructure.
