The IMR-1 engineering clearing vehicle is an armored tracked vehicle created on the basis of the T-55 tank. It is designed for making passages, clearing debris, constructing roads and performing loading and unloading operations in difficult conditions, including in radioactively contaminated areas.

Brief description of features:

• The bulldozer blade can operate in three modes: bulldozer, grader and “butterfly” (V-shaped blade), which allows clearing a strip with a width of 3.4 to 4.15 m.
• A telescopic boom with a manipulator is used for moving heavy objects, clearing debris, loading and unloading operations and installing engineering structures.
• The machine is sealed, equipped with an anti-nuclear protection system and can operate in conditions of chemical or radioactive contamination.
• Productivity: in 1 hour IMR-1 is capable of turning 300 meters of solid rubble into a road for vehicles to pass through.

IMR-1 is actively used in the engineering troops to ensure the maneuver of troops and eliminate the consequences of emergency situations. This machine is indispensable when establishing crossings and ensuring the movement of columns of equipment through difficult terrain.
