Technical characteristics of the high-speed trench machine BTM-3
- Purpose: designed for digging trenches in soils of categories I-IV, frozen and rocky rocks.

- Movement speed: operating speed up to 2 km/h, transport speed up to 12 km/h.
- Engine: diesel D-160 with a power of about 160 hp, or a similar diesel U1D6.

- Fuel consumption: about 10 liters per kilometer at maximum load.
The machine was widely used in the construction of pipelines, power lines and utilities in the USSR. It has proven itself to be reliable and unpretentious even in difficult operating conditions.
