AI-25 - aircraft bypass turbojet engine.

The engine consists of the following main components:

• two-stage eight-stage compressor(3 stages low and 8 stages high pressure) axial compressor;
• separating body;
• an annular combustion chamber;
• two-shaft three-stage turbine;
• rear support housings with a double-circuit jet nozzle;
• engine system units.

Works at aviation kerosene of the T-1, TS-1, RT brands.The engine is started from an air starter SV-25.

The AI‑25 engine is used on the following aircraft:

• Yak-40 - a passenger aircraft for local airlines
• Milets M-15 - agricultural aircraft
• Aero L‑39 “Albatross” (AI‑25TL engine) — training aircraft
• Hongdu JL-8 (AI‑25TLK engine) - Sino-Pakistani combat training aircraft
• Comp Air Jet
