Aviation voltage converter PO 6000
Converters of the PO series (single-phase converter) are available with a power of 250, 500, 750, 1500, 3000, 4500 and 6000 V. They convert direct current of 27V into alternating single-phase current of 115V±3% with a frequency of 400Hz. ±5%. In some cases, converters are installed with increased frequency stabilization accuracy up to ±(0.05...1)%.

General information. On aircraft where the main power supply system is a direct current system, converters are used to obtain alternating current of a stable frequency. If the primary power supply system is an alternating current system, then converters serve as emergency power sources. Converters are motor-generator units consisting of a DC electric motor and a single-phase synchronous generator, which have a common housing and shaft.
