Compensation magnet MKP, MKR-1, MKR-2
Magnetic device for eliminating the effect of “magnetic blowing” during welding. If necessary, several magnets can be installed. After welding the seam in the place of the compensated magnetic field, the magnets are rearranged further along the seam.
Introduces a U-shaped magnetic system taking into account the dimensions of the throat for installing pipe centralizers. Unlike cast magnets, it is more resistant to demagnetization. Unlike electrical devices for pipeline demagnetization, it does not require a power source, which makes it indispensable in field conditions
The magnitude of the compensated magnetic field: up to 2450 Gas
Length of the compensated section, mm 150-300 mm,
Distance between poles: 200x120mm,
Weight 5.5 kg.
Magnetic blowing occurs when an extraneous magnetic field influences the magnetic field of the arc. The deflection of the arc in the longitudinal or transverse direction is called “magnetic blast”. Magnetic blast greatly affects the quality of the weld, and in the case of strong magnetization makes welding impossible. Magnetic blasting does not allow high-quality welding of the weld root and leads to the ejection of metal from the weld pool.
