AI-24 -a one-speed engine with a 10-speed axial compressor, an annular combustion chamber and a three-speed turbine. Designed at the ZMKB "Progress" named after Academician A. G. Ivchenko, Serial production has been deployed since 1961 on the ZPP Motorostroitel (now OJSC Motor Sich) in Zaporozhye. The engine is designed to install An-24, An-26, An-30 aircraft and their modifications, performing flights on medium length lines.
