Inclined wind tunnel AKM-WWT-500 is a unique inclined closed wind tunnel for wingsuits and flying skiers (jumpers) with electric drive.

We have developed and put into production an inclined closed wind tunnel with an electric drive AKM-WWT (Wingsuit Wind Tunnel). The installation is a recirculating wind tunnel with a rectangular (in cross-section) flight chamber and a variable angle of inclination relative to the horizon, which is intended for entertaining and sporting flights of a person in a wingsuit suit, as well as training flying skiers (jumpers). The body structure is metal, partly sandwich. Installed in a metal supporting frame. Air exchange cooling system.

The direction of training skiers and ski jumpers in an aerodynamic simulator has great promise. The existing need for such a simulator, today, is practically not satisfied in any way. Attempts to use research horizontal wind tunnels do not give the required result. Our development will help correct the situation.

The set of technical and layout solutions used in the design of this wind tunnel makes it possible to implement this unique project for the Russian Federation due to the combination of high technical characteristics of the installation with compactness and low cost.

Main technical characteristics:

• Flight chamber cross-sectional size: 12 m2. (4x3 m).
• Flow rate: max. 44 m/s.
• Dimensions (LxWxH): 15x6x14.
• Weight: about 55 tons.
• Power: max. 500 kW (without additional consumers).

Production time 5 months. Payment procedure: 70% prepayment, 30% at the time of shipment. The cost of commissioning work is 2% of the cost of the equipment.
