Technological complex "VTU" to reduce residual welding stresses, stabilization of the geometric dimensions of welded and cast structures by low-frequency vibration treatment of welded joints.
The complex allows vibration processing of large-sized parts at a resonant frequency. As a result, a redistribution of internal stresses occurs, the geometry of the product is leveled, and stress concentrators, as sources of future destruction of the metal, disappear. Vibration processing makes it possible to avoid expensive heat treatment with similar results.
The workpiece or metal structure is placed on a vibration damper. A vibration exciter with an adjustable imbalance is installed on the part, which allows you to determine the necessary processing parameters. Vibration treatment lasts 15 - 30 minutes.
The device operates in three modes: manual, automatic run and automatic. During the automatic run, the operator determines the resonant frequency ranges. Having selected and set the resonant frequency, the operator starts the automatic mode, during which the device maintains operation at the set frequency. Duration of treatment at resonance is 15-20 minutes.
