At the end of November 1939, the future HF together with the “progenitor” of the SMK and the T-100 heavy tank, they were sent to fight on the Karelian Isthmus - to test the theoretical calculations of the designers in real combat. Of these three tanks, only one returned from the Winter War not just with glory, but also with the status of being accepted for service. And it was U-0, which on December 19, that is, two days after its first battle, was assigned the KV index - “Klim Voroshilov” - in honor of the then People’s Commissar of Defense.
