The first generation of the Bentley Brooklands luxury sedan, launched to replace the Mulsanne, was shown in 1992. The car impresses with elegant, conservative lines typical of British cars of the time. The sedan was named after the Brooklands circuit in Surrey, where racing competitions were held. The car was conceived as a variant of the Bentley Turbo R with a 6.75-liter Rolls-Royce engine, without a turbocharger. The interior of the Bentley Brooklands I uses hand-made leather, exquisite inserts of expensive wood and numerous chrome elements that give the car status.
The Bentley Brooklands I was initially equipped with a naturally aspirated 248-horsepower, 6.75-liter engine. Later, the standard modification was supplemented with a similar unit with a turbocharger, which raised the power bar to 305 hp. The design of the suspensions gave the Bentley Brooklands I better handling, incredible energy consumption and a smooth ride. Disc brakes match the vehicle's power. In 1998, the 1st generation Bentley Brooklands was discontinued. The model's successor appeared 10 years later.
