The intermediate gearbox is designed to change the direction of the axis of the transmission tail shaft at an angle of 45° in accordance with the direction of the end beam. Changing the direction of the tail shaft axis is achieved by using a pair of bevel gears with the same number of teeth in the gearbox without changing the rotation speed of the drive and driven shafts of the gearbox. The intermediate gearbox is installed inside the end beam and attached to its frame with four bolts.
