The front side of the machine gun shield is crowned with a double-headed imperial eagle, holding in its paws a shield with the image of the main Russian military symbol - St. George the Victorious. On both sides of the eagle, in oval medallions, there are images of the canonized Orthodox princes Alexander Nevsky and Dmitry Donskoy.
