The transmission tail shaft is designed to transmit torque from the main gearbox through the intermediate and tail gearboxes to the tail rotor.
The main and intermediate gearboxes are connected by a horizontal part of the tail shaft, and the intermediate and tail gearboxes are connected by an inclined end part of the shaft.
