Two engines and a VR-8A gearbox make up the power plant of the Mi-8 helicopter. The long service life of the Mi-8 helicopter in more than 30 countries confirms the high degree of reliability of the power plant and equipment.
Serial production of TV2-117AG engines began in 1985 at the Perm Motor Plant. More than 24,000 engines have been produced, and more than 13,000 engines continue to be used.
