In the fall of 1949, two prototypes of NAMI-011 successfully passed interdepartmental tests near Leningrad and were recommended for production. All improvements are in the process of development. Soon the small amphibian "011" was accepted for supply to the army under the brand name MAV (small amphibious vehicle), which, however, was rarely used. Much later, by Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 981 of March 14, 1951, its main creators, headed by B.V. Shishkin (six people in total) received the Stalin Prize, 3rd degree, “For work in the field of mechanical engineering for 1950.” The total circulation of serial GAZ-011 was only 296 units.
