Regimental 76 mm gunP-27 (that is, the model of 1927) - the first artillery gun that was created by Soviet designers. It was intended for direct support of the infantry in battle and the destruction of enemy equipment. As a rule, each infantry regiment had four P-27s.
In 1929, the gun was modernized, and the P-27 entered the war without any changes.
Due to its rather high mobility and serious caliber, until the middle of the Great Patriotic War, the gun was successfully used against Wehrmacht infantry, enemy tanks and other equipment. In 1943, it was replaced by a more advanced model.
