Yak-52 - a two-seat all-metal monoplane with a low-mounted cantilever wing. The aircraft successfully copes with complex tasks, including due to its design features:

• the lightweight but durable fuselage frame together with the thin metal shell can withstand heavy loads;
• the reinforced wing is equipped with landing flaps;
• the landing gear is not completely retracted in flight and can protect the body in an emergency;
• The 9-cylinder star-shaped air-cooled piston engine is equipped with a variable pitch propeller;
• two fuel tanks with a capacity of 65 liters each are located in the wings, a 5 liter fuel tank is located in the fuselage;
• There are no doors; the lantern-type cabin is closed by two transparent sliding parts.
